Black Paracord, also known as parachute cord, is a versatile high quality rope which can be used for a wide range of different applications. Often carried as a survival rope due to it being light weight and having a multi-strand core with an overall breaking load of 250kg (550lb). Genuine Paracord was originally designed for the US military during WW2 as a parachute cord which could also be used for survival.
Paracord 550 outer sheath is made from 32 strand 100% nylon measuring 4mm in diameter. Inner core has 7 core threads of 3ply nylon which can also be unwound and used individually.
